With the continuous improvement of China's position in the international arena and the prevalence of "Chinese fever" in the world,more and more people are learning Chinese.As one of the countries with the largest number of overseas Chinese in the world,Indonesia is also learning Chinese more and more.Motivation,as an important factor affecting second language learning,is particularly important in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and exploring how to make students learn Chinese better.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the learning motivation of Indonesian Chinese learners.After referring to the previous research results on learning motivation,the author investigated and analyzed the learning motivation of Chinese major students in Asia International Friendship Institute of Indonesia through questionnaire and interview analysis.Through the research,we find that the types of learning motivation of students are in order of intensity: attitude motivation,tool motivation,internal motivation,integration motivation and external motivation.Then the author analyzes the types and intensities of students' learning motivation from the two dimensions of gender and the length of Chinese learning.It is found that the intensities of attitude motivation,internal motivation,external motivation and integration motivation of girls are higher than that of boys,while the instrumental motivation of boys is stronger than that of girls.In terms of learning Chinese,46.2% of the total investigated students have more than 8 years of learning Chinese.Their attitude motivation,internal motivation and tool motivation are significantly higher than those who have less than 8 years of learning time,while external motivation and integration motivation are lower than those who have less than 8 years of learning time.In addition,the author also combined with the survey results to interview the students,and reached a conclusion consistent with the survey results.According to the results of the investigation and interview,combined with my own teaching experience in the sub college,I find that the factors that affect students' learning motivation mainly come from the school,teachers and students themselves,which are very important to stimulate and enhance students' learning motivation.In this paper,the author puts forward the three aspects of the current problems in stimulating and enhancing students' learning motivation Strategy.The author hopes that the research results and conclusions as well as the proposed strategies can provide some help for the school development,teachers' teaching and students' learning of Asia International Friendship Institute.
