Chinese teacher volunteers are faced with the problem of cross-cultural adaptation.This article focuses on this and expands the discussion.This paper is divided into two levels.The first level is case analysis.In the process of concrete discussion,the author selects four real cases of Chinese teacher volunteers in cross-cultural adaptation firstly,then introduces the background of the case,describes the detailed situation of the cases,and analyzes the behavior of volunteer teachers finally.The first case in this paper describes the dissatisfaction,psychological discomfort and pressure of Nana,a Chinese teacher volunteer,when facing a new environment;The second case describes the differences in religious culture encountered by the teacher of Chinese as a foreign language teacher Gong Zhenlin in the northern Nigerian school.While understanding the local culture,it also aroused the local people's strong interest in Chinese culture.The third case tells the story of teacher Qu Yanhong who lives in the home of a local teacher and adapts to social customs and develops interpersonal relationships.The fourth case describes a series of teaching methods adopted by Chen Nailin,a volunteer Chinese language teacher for foreigners,in the new school when facing a different teaching environment and model from China.After describing the details of the case,make a specific analysis of the specific performance of the four Chinese teacher volunteers in the case in different situations,analyze their success and point out the shortcomings.The second level is based on the analysis of the case,and discusses the enlightenment of the case,in order to provide a series of suggestions and countermeasures to the cultural adaptation faced by Chinese teacher volunteers.Through the discussion,the author thinks that in the process of intercultural adaptation,Chinese teacher volunteers should cultivate the awareness of intercultural adaptation,actively adapt tothe new environment with a positive attitude,learn psychological adjustment,enhance the ability of intercultural adaptation,respect and tolerate the culture of other countries.
