On Galik's Comparative Literature Method In Chinese Modern Literature Research

Galik is one of the representatives of the Prague Chinese School,a famous scholar of comparative literature,and has made important contributions to the study of modern Chinese literature and the relationship between Chinese and Western literature.Galik's comparative study of Chinese modern literature draws extensively on Marxist theory,structuralism,and comparative literature research methods.Taking the development of world literature as the research background and focusing on Chinese literature,he conducted an in-depth comparative analysis of modern Chinese literature.Galik has a certain amount of exploration in the study of influences and types between Chinese and Western literature which shows broad research horizons.At present,academic papers on the study of Galik's research are focused on his research objects and research characteristics and there is no comprehensive and systematic article on Galik's comparative literary methods.This article intends to take the comparative literature method in Galik's study of Chinese modern literature as the research object to explore the theoretical basis,specific method application and characteristics behind Galik's comparative literature research and the unique views on Chinese modern literature formed by Galik under the guidance of these theories.The three aspects demonstrate the unique value of Galik's comparative literary approach.There are three chapters in the article except for introduction and conclusion.The introduction is an overview of Galik himself and his studies of Chinese modern literature,the current status of Galik's research results at home and abroad as well as the research significance of this thesis.The first chapter mainly discusses the theoretical and methodological basis of Galik's comparative literature research from three aspects: Marxist literary theory,Prague structuralism and scientism methodology.The second chapter is a detailed description of Galik's system-structure method,influence-confrontation method and genre research method.Through specific analysis of Galik's illustrations of modern literary criticism or modern literary creation,it demonstrates features of Galik's comparative literature research methods.The third chapter concludes the unique views of Chinese modern literature formed by Galik including the generation of modern Chinese literature,the integrity of Chinese literature and the emphasis on the social and political functions and aesthetic functions of modern Chinese literature.The concluding part tries to make an objective evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of Galik's Chinese modern literature research methods and discusses the significance of Galik's comparative literature research.
