Exploring Literary Tourism In The Context Of Culture-tourism Integration

In the context of culture-tourism integration,literary tourism as a branch of cultural tourism has been increasingly important.This study aims to explore the meanings of literary tourism from the following three aspects: new tourists' needs and expectations;the possibility of developing literary tourism,and how to design a literary tourism route.The research adopts the method of the case study,analyzes the Grand Canal(Hangzhou Section)in detail.UGC colletion,interview with tourist guides and textual analysis are used in the research.The study finds that(1)literary tourism can meet the spiritual enjoyment and leisure needs of new tourists and provide a new way for the personalized style of tourism;(2)there is a great possibility for the development of literary tourism.For example,the Grand Canal(Hangzhou section)has changed from industrial development to cultural-tourism development mode,and literary tourism can be a new style of cultural-tourism.(3)to design a literary tourism route,the designer should integrate all kinds of literary resources and also consider geographical factors.Literary tourism,therefore,functions as a self-determined and self-selected social and economic development model by the local government.The study provides theoretical contributions to the current heated discussed cultural-tourism integration development.Besides,the research offers some practical implications for Chinese governments and communities in transforming their economic development model.
