Peer Gynt well-known poetic play by Henrik Ibsen(1828.3.20—1906.5.23),the famous Norwegian writer and dramatist of Peer Gynt was composed by Edvard Grieg(1843.6.15—1907.9.4),and eight of them were selected for two orchestral ensembles of Peer Gynt, which were then personally adapted into two sets of the piano solo Peer Gynt Suite. These two sets of suites are perfect for her creative ideas and aesthetic views. The second set of Peer Gynt sees Grieg and Ibsen's nationalism and love in terms of their creative purpose. The national consciousness is expressed through this work, which connects two masters who have made a difference in different fields, who share a common belief and express their love for the motherland in different ways. This paper chooses the second suite of the piano solo Peer Gynt, and expounds the author's point of view by combining theory with practice. The thesis is divided into three parts, the first part mainly introduces the creation and literary content of Gregg and Peel Gint. The second part analyzes the structural characteristics of the works from the aspects of musical characteristics. The third part is the author's analysis and summary of the actual performance. The Pell Gint suite has been active on the world stage.Compared with the symphony version, the piano solo has given the suite a new vitality. It is hoped that through the analysis of the second suite of the piano solo version of Peel Gint, more people will understand the charm of the piano adaptation, and also make people have more understanding of Gregg's music.
