Passive Synthesis

“Analysis concerning passive synthesis" is an important text of the genetic phenomenology.The study of this issue involves the problem of the transition from the static phenomenology to the genetic phenomenology.Husserl's research of passive synthesis takes perception as an example,and analyzes the constitution generatively,showing the concepts,problems and methods of passive generation.However,association and affection,as the crucial elements of passive synthesis,Husserl's interpretation of these two concepts lacks clarity.The basic reason is that the genetic phenomenology has not yet been presented as a systematic phenomenology.Taking the concept of constitution as a clue,this thesis points out that the transition from static phenomenology to genetic phenomenology derives from the evidential requirements throughout Husserl's phenomenology.Therefore,the clarification of association and affection depends on the genetic analysis of constitutions.This thesis points out that the clarification of the relationship between time-consciousness and association should distinguish time-consciousness and association as synthesis from these two as law.The former indicates the constitutive hierarchy of complex objects and simple objects in passive synthesis;the latter shows the tendency of association to integrate into the original synthesis in time-consciousness,which shows the idea of a systematic genetic phenomenology which is started by elements.Next,through the study of the relationship between affection and unity,this thesis points out the way in which affection works in the construction of higher-level complex objects.At the same time,this affection presents itself as the unity with uneven shape in the living-present.This article attempts to distinguish complex and simple objects in order to clearly explain the concepts of association and affection.This distinction actually coincides with the genetic attitude,which gives the constitution a genetic dimensionality.Therefore,whether it is association or affection,there is a tendency to penetrate into the realm of the living-present.This tendency is an inevitable requirement of the idea of systemic genetic phenomenology.
