A Study On Classification And Origin Of Loanwords In Italian

Italian comes from Latin,and it is also its continuation and development.The vast majority of Italian vocabulary is inextricably linked with Latin.With the advance of history and the development of the times,the composition of Italian vocabulary has begun to have new forms,such as the use of suffixes,the emergence of combined words,etc.However,what played an important role in the enrichment and development of Italian vocabulary was the "loanwords",that is,words borrowed from other languages.Since the birth of Italian,it has always maintained communication and contact with other languages.Therefore,loanwords from other languages is one of the important ways to enrich and expand its vocabulary,and its generation is inextricably related to numerous factors other than linguistics,including economy,culture,history and society.This article is divided into four chapters.The introduction briefly explains the current domestic and international research status,research purpose and significance,research methods,and innovations of the subject.The first chapter outlines the composition of Italian vocabulary and explains the background and favorable factors of loanwords.Chapters 2 and 3 discuss the classification and sources of loanwords in detail.Chapter 4 summarizes the characteristics of the loanwords in terms of pronunciation,morphology,grammar and semantics.The last part is the conclusion which briefly summarizes the gist of the paper,and indicates that there is still much room for improvement in the development and dissemination of the subject.The generation and use of loanwords is not accidental.Their emergence is not only an inevitable result of historical development,but also a spark created by the collision of different cultures.Analyzing the historical background of their generation and classifying them can better grasp and understand the process of development of Italian vocabulary,and explore the impact of multiple non-verbal factors on Italian and society of Italy at the time.What's more,it also helps to find the nationality and subjectivity of Italian which manifest in the process of acceptance.At the same time,summarizing and analyzing the characteristics of the loanwords during the borrowing process plays an important role in promoting the learning and understanding of the development and change of Italian vocabulary,so it has considerable research value.
