| The concept ??????? is a fundamental concept in Russian culture.However,there's little comprehensive research on it especially from the perspective of cognitive linguistics.Research from this aspect enables us to grasp the understanding of ??????? in terms of its semantic basis and cognitive structure and deepen understanding of Russian national mind and ways of thinking.Therefore,cognitive linguistics research of ??????? is of both theoretical and practical meaning.On one hand,the research paves way for our development of Russian cognitive linguistics theory and concepts of Russian Language World Vision.On the other,language materials collected in this paper can be applied in Russian teaching in China,which presents the Chinese students with vivid expressions of Russian as well as the characteristics of Russian mentality.The associative experimental results can be applied in the edition of association dictionary.Besides,this analysis can also be adopted in the comparative research on the concept ??????? in Russian and China.Innovation of this paper is as follows: firstly,systematic analysis of ??????? in Russian language world vision is conducted adopting semantic-cognitive approach;secondly,associative experimental approach is utilized and a comparison with previous experimental results is made;thirdly,the cognitive model of the concept ??????? is established by analyzing its cognitive characteristics.This paper focuses on systematic cognitive linguistics research of ??????? in Russian language world vision based on relevant theories in Russian cultural linguistics,Russian cognitive linguistics and Russian lexicology,using Russian idiom dictionary,dictionary of Russian proverbs and association dictionary as corpus resources,and utilizing conceptual analysis combined with associative experiments.Firstly,we discuss the terminology of language world vision and concept,analyze various approaches of concept research based on previous research,which further determines the conceptual method of this paper.Secondly,the idioms,proverbs,associative fields of the concept ??????? have been established by analyzing the etymology,synonym list,Russian idioms,proverbs reflecting the concept ???????,and the results of association experiments.Furthermore,the nominative field of the concept is built with the results of the semantic description.Then,through the cognitive interpretation of the nominative field of the concept ???????,the cognitive characteristics of the concept are revealed.Finally,cognitive model of ??????? including macro structure,cognitive level and structure field is established through the analysis of cognitive characteristics of the concept ???????.Conclusion is composed of following points:1.The abundant nominative field of the concept ??????? indicates its crucial role in Russian language world vision and contemporary Russian language consciousness.2.The concept ??????? possesses both stable and dynamic conceptual structure.Through the comparative analysis of ??????? associative field in different periods,we have found extensive repetitive and similar cognitive features as well as certain changes over time,which illustrates its duality.3.The concept ??????? contains distinct Russian characteristics.Firstly,the evaluation outcome of its interpretation field indicates that ??????? domains in Russian language consciousness as a positive evaluation model;secondly,the controversial impact of Russian mentality on its language is shown by analyzing contrary cognitive features between idioms and proverbs field.Thirdly,Russian's unique standards of value,behavior and world view are also shown in the concept ???????.4.We have clarified the core and periphery of the concept ??????? based on the study of fundamentals and cognitive model.Among all cognitive characteristics,“arable land” is the most distinctive one which constitutes the internal structure while cognitive characteristics in the periphery indicate that there are various images of ??????? in Russian language consciousness. |
