In recent years,the successful deployment and operation of spacecrafts such as Chang'e-4 and Tianwen-1 have marked the great progress of China's space exploration capabilities and China's determination to promote the development of the world's space industry.However,it should be aware that there is still a big gap between China and the major aerospace powers.In order to leapfrog in astronautics development,we must persist in learning the latest achievements in aerospace technology from western countries while carrying forward the spirit of self-reliance and hard work.“An Introduction to the Concept of a Deep Space Science Vessel”,authored by Dr.Robert Howard from NASA Johnson Space Center,is a conference paper included in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers(IEEE)2019 International Aerospace Conference.It introduces in detail the concept of Deep Space Science Vessel(DSSV)proposed by NASA for the implementation of manned deep space exploration missions such as landing on Mars,from the aspects of technical background,internal structure,attached equipment,crew composition and application scenarios.The introduction to the concept has important reference significance to the future development of China's aerospace industry.This report was written on the basis of the practical translation task commissioned by an aerospace engineering research institution affiliated to a military academy.Considering the stylistic features of English for Science and Technology(EST),the author adopts the “Machine Translation + Computer-Aided Translation + Post-editing(MT + CAT + PE)” mode for text translation in practice.In order to achieve higher translation efficiency and quality at the same time,the author first pre-translated the full paper through machine translation engine and then call the self-built astronautics memory bank for revising or refining and the whole process was carried out in SDL Trados 2019 Integrated translation environment.The report focuses on the comparison and selection of machine translation engines,the construction and maintenance of the translation memory,the formulation and utilization of the post-editing style guide,the quality assessment according to the translation quality framework,and case analysis of the correction of machine translation errors during post-editing.Some processing methods can be used as valuable reference for the translation of similar texts.
