'Peaceful reunification and one nation, two systems' is the innovative basic principle put forward by the Communist Party of China in solving the problem of national unification.Since its being putting forward,it's been the utmost strategic goal and guideline when the mainland deals with the relationship with Taiwan. From'Ye Jianying' nine items','Deng Xiaoping's six items','Jiang Zemin's eight points','Hu Jingtao' six points',to relevant speeches given by Xi Jingping,'one nation, two systems' has been constantly enriched and developed under innovations of leaders of the Communist Party of China, and has formed a complete theoretical system in solving the problem of national unification. The core idea and principle of these systems is clear and firm, that there is only one China in this world, the mainland and Taiwan belong to one China, the territory and sovereignty of China is integrated.Although 'one nation, two systems' was first put forward to solve the problem of peaceful reunification of Taiwan, but it was first put into effect in Hong Kong. The successful practice of'one nation, two systems' policy in Hong Kong and Macau has provided rich and useful experience for the construction of the 'Taiwan model' of that policyHowever,'one nation, two systems' policy was soon stigmatized in Taiwan after its putting forward.Taiwan authorities under the leadership of Chiang Ching-kuo refused to accept 'one nation, two systems' policy, and slandered it as the conspiracy of the united front,as the small trick in cheating Taiwan people, and they put forward that we should unify China under the Three Peoples' Principles, this theory was used to confront 'one nation, two systems' policy.Just then,Taiwan authorities still sticks to the principle of 'one China',therefore, the key point of opposing 'one nation, two systems' policy is opposing 'two systems'while not 'one nation'.But when Li Teng-hui was in power,he gradually exposed his desire for the independence of Taiwan, the key point of opposing 'one nation, two systems' policy wasn't 'two systems',but 'one nation'.After Chen Shui-bian came into power,he refused to accept the principle of 'Taiwan consensus' and 'one China',what's worse,he was totally against the 'one nation, two systems' policy.Articles written by relevant Taiwan scholars criticized 'one nation, two systems' policy, which was of the same pace with Taiwan authorities' policies towards the mainland. These articles first appeared in 1984,and continued until nowadays. They analyzed and investigated 'one nation, two systems' policy from the aspects of the theoretical sources, historical basis, intensions and goals, approaches and methods, and impacts towards Taiwan. However, these studies and discussions have many misunderstandings, misinterpretations, and vilifications, which made 'one nation, two systems' policy stigmatized in Taiwan, and became a political taboo in Taiwan.Whoever mentions 'one nation, two systems' will be regarded as fellow travelers of the Communist Party of China, which equals betraying Taiwan. That has been the new ideology of Taiwan, which impedes and threatens Taiwan people to refuse to accept'one nation, two systems' policy. This dissertation tries to clear out the stigmatization process of 'one nation, two systems' policy in Taiwan,to analyze the factors that Taiwan scholars oppose'one nation, two systems' policy, which would greatly facilitate our fighting back their fallacies in against 'one nation, two systems' policy and also to absorb useful reasonable suggestion.Under the premise of 'one China',this dissertation aims at further enriching and developing the contents of 'one nation, two systems' policy, and creating the 'Taiwan model' of ' one nation, two systems' policy that could be accepted by people both in mainland and in Taiwan.
