Research On The Impact Of Local Government Investment To Urbanization Development In China

In the process of the gradual reform of the market economy,the deepening of the reform of the tax system makes the local government in the financial rights and powers having autonomy.Local government plays a more and more important role in the economic development.Government investment is one of the policy measures to guide the development of local economy.It is not only the main way to improve public management facilities and public services,but also an important tool to stimulate economic growth,allocation of resources rationally and optimize and upgrade the industrial structure.With the improvement of China's economic development level,the level of urbanization in China is also increasing.The role of urbanization in the process of modernization is also becoming more and more important.It is conducive to solve the"three rural issues",to coordinate regional development and expand domestic demand,to enhance the level of economic development.As a coordinating planner for the development of urbanization,the local government plays an irreplaceable role in improving the infrastructure,upgrading of the industrial structure and providing"software" products.However,Local government investments inefficient and unreasonable.The reason is that the excessive pursuit of the local government to improve the level of economic growth and to evaluate GDP growth as a result of performance assessment,which has a negative impact the development of urbanization to some extent.Under this background,It has an important practical significance for the scientific development of the new urbanization to explore the relationship between local government investment and urbanization,in order to promote the local government investment behavior in a reasonable and normative manner and improve the quality of urbanization.On the basis of the present situation and the theoretical analysis,this paper uses the 2000-2015 provincial panel data to do the research between the local government investment and the urbanization in our country.The results of the data analysis show that:the local government investment in China has a positive role in promoting the development of Urbanization.The urbanization development's promoting effect in different regions is different.The East government investment has the greatest effect on the urbanization development,followed by the middle and the west.Finally,on the basis of the research results,this paper puts forward the policy suggestions of government investment for the better development of urbanization:deal with the relationship between local government and market correctly;optimizing the investment structure of the local government;constructing a reasonable performance evaluation indicators;establishing a sound and standardized government financing system,setting up a scientific concept of urban development.
