Because of the political system of the United States,although the United States conducts a four-year presidential election and theoretically there is the possibility to replace the president and the cabinet every four years,on the one hand,the US president has re-election space and the US presidential election is mainly two political parties Competition,on the other hand,no matter which political party win the election,its the position of governing and safeguarding the interests of the United States will not change.The above two factors determine:even after the expiration of the presidency,because the political party changes,it will make some adjustments to the Korean policy,but it will certainly continue some basic strategy.Grasping the continuity of the US government's policy towards the DPRK will have a positive guiding significance toward judging the future trend and the general direction of the US policy.Mastering the specificity of US government's policy towards the DPRK will have some guiding significance toward the flexible response to the US policy for the short term.In addition,the correct determination of US policy strategic trends will help increase the leeway of our diplomacy and help to enhance the initiative of our diplomatic activities.The first chapter briefly introduces the purpose and significance of this topic,the research status and the research methods.Chapter 2 outlines the policy of the three US governments towards the DPRK.The third chapter elaborates on the continuity and specificity of the three US governments' policy toward the DPRK.Among them,the continuity is:resolutely oppose the development and possession of nuclear weapons by the DPRK,look forward to the change or the collapse of the Korean regime,advocate dialogue and continue to exert pressure,value the mediation of China?South Korea and Japan.The specificity is:the Clinton administration's policy toward the DPRK is more moderate,the Bush administration's policy toward the DPRK has a significant change,the Obama administration's policy toward the DPRK is very patient.The fourth chapter will explore the enlightenment of the US policy toward the DPRK on China's diplomacy.Chapter 5 summarizes the full text.
