Study On XiJinping's Thought Of Targeted Poverty Alleviation

Poverty has always been a concern among people across the world.In an attempt to lift proletariats and all mankind at large out of poverty,Marxists have struggled for their entire life.Since the founding of the People's Republic of China,the country's poverty issues have concerned the leaders of the Communist Party of China and the nation.Unremitting efforts were made to alleviate poverty by the four major CPC Central Committees with Mao Zedong,Deng Xiaoping,Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao at its core successively.Since the18 th CPC National Congress,the CPC Central Committee has attached unprecedented significance to poverty reduction.Based on the field visits to poverty-stricken areas and an in-depth analysis on the status quo of poverty relief across the country,the CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping as general secretary has put forward the idea of targeted poverty alleviation,which is an important theoretical outcome of Marxist anti-poverty theory's application in China and provides vital guidance for the country's poverty reduction in the new stage.In this paper,the author discusses Xi Jinping's idea of targeted poverty relief from three main aspects.Part ? analyzes its theoretical basis,including anti-poverty and poverty alleviation theories put forward by Marxist classic writers and Chinese communists following the establishment of the PRC,and explains the practical foundation behind,namely the requirement for dealing with the new problems in poverty reduction,building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and conducting poverty relief in the development stage of new normal.Part ? details the six components of Xi's proposal,namely who to be lifted out of poverty,how to arrange programs,how to use funds,how to adjust measures according to different conditions of individual households,who to be sent in charge and how to secure the effectiveness of povertyelimination.Part ? elaborates the idea's practical significance.Specifically,it helps build a well-off society in an all-round way,maintain the country's long-term stability,cement the ruling position of the CPC and enhance the country's international status.
