Historical Evolution And Current Situation Of Indonesian Chinese Political Participation

Indonesia is a country who has the biggest population of Overseas Chinese in the world,Indonesian Chinese from long ago have played important roles in the development of many aspects in Indonesia.Although Indonesian Chinese have dominated the economy of Indonesia,but actually Indonesian Chinese have a long history of Political Participation in Indonesia,even since Netherlands colonial era,and then continue to develop across the President Soekarno Government era.This thesis paper summarizes the development of Indonesia political system and Indonesian Chinese political role.Through researching local society condition and local Chinese society development,this paper will analyze Indonesian Chinese political and social status,and this will be research background for understanding West Kalimantan local Chinese Political Participation.This paper will mainly explain about West Kalimantan Chinese Political Participation history,motivation and impacts,through these research will achieve better understanding about Indonesian Chinese Political Participation.
