A Study Between Aging,Human Capital Heterogeneity And Farmer's Production Technology Efficiency Difference

During the past ten years,demographic structure transformation and agricultural development has attract scholars' attention.Since the founding of new China,the demographic structure has changed greatly.The aging population is becoming a threat to agricultural sector.To strive for the development of agricultural,we should promote technical efficiency of agriculture and track a way of modern agriculture drove by efficiency.As regard to the way to improve agricultural technical efficiency,scholars has attempt a lot,therefore they give some reasonable excuse to explain the reason of the improvement of agricultural technical efficiency.However there are two weakness: the correlation theory of agricultural technical efficiency;because of the limit of labor force homogeneity in traditional development economics,the analysis of transition of agricultural technical efficiency lack reasonable theoretical framework.Therefore,there are little beneficial attempt to analysis the difference of agricultural technical efficiency between the aging and no-aging farmers on the point of human capital.Based on farmers' two-sector economy of traditional development economics,this paper consider human capital heterogeneity into farmers' two-sector economy.Considering human capital and the difference of agricultural technical efficiency,this paper calculate the net utility of aging effect and accumulative effect.And then,this paper will give a conclusion of the difference of agricultural technical efficiency between different farmers.Based on this theoretical framework and survey data of Gansu farmers,this paper use SFA to make empirical analysis.The result show that:(1)considering output elasticity of each element,the output elasticity of land is the highest and the output elasticity of labor is the lowest;(2)the average agricultural technical efficiency of aging farmer is 0.788,higher than no-aging farmers' 0.775,the average agricultural technical efficiency of no-aging farmers have more potential;(3)there are 6 factors affecting agricultural technical efficiency,and the impact has different effect degree and effect direction.Finally,combining the reality of Gansu province,this paper give some countermeasure and suggestion on the way to promote agricultural technical efficiency and realize agricultural modernization.
