The Study On Construction Problem Of Yunnan's Frontier In Modern Times

With the fierce invasion of western countries in modern times,the border crisis of china became more serious.This was not only the crisis of territory,but also an identification crisis on the nationality's and country's level.Since this pressure and crisis,china started a progress which transformed from imperial state to nation state,and a series of changes and adjustments have appeared to recognize and control border problems.As far as the border area of china and Vietnam in south part of Yunnan in modern times,started with the demarcation of china and France,until the end of the War of Resistance Against Japan,this particular area entered a special history period of frontier construction.It contained demarcation of territory,management of country's affair,and the recognition development of frontier minorities etc..This paper is divided into four chapters,the main contents are as follows:The first chapter,the second chapter and the third chapter discuss the historical process and content of the border construction from the divisions of China and France,the transition from the end of the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China,and the change of the border ethnic minorities.First of all,the exploration of the border between China and Vietnam in southern Yunnan has broken the historical habit of the blatant state of national sovereignty in the border area of southern Yunnan and the confrontation of borderland,which provided the foundation for the construction of modern border in southern Yunnan.Secondly,the paper regards the modern state as the important part of the frontier construction in the border area of southern Yunnan,and discusses the state of governance in the border area of southern Yunnan and the game process of the state and the nation.The third chapter,combined with the background of the border crisis since the Sino-French War,has discussed the integration and transformation path of the ethnic minorities in southern Yunnan border areas under the dual impetus of national forces and border crisis.On the basis of the previous three chapters,the fourth chapter analyzes the historical characteristics of the construction of the frontier in southern Yunnan,and points out that the construction of the border in southern Yunnan is a historical practice which is carried out under the special background.It has distinct characteristics,The construction of southern Yunnan frontier is the result of multiple forces of state power,national power and border crisis.In general,this paper,taking the border area of southern Yunnan as an example,tries to reveal the historical practice of the frontier construction of Yunnan in modern times.It is a matter of time from time,including the boundary,politics and ethnic multiple factors Systematic engineering.At the same time,this article is another way,with the academic circles of the southern Yunnan border area as the starting point,pointed out that in the border issue,southern Yunnan and western Yunnan have both common,also has its unique,and then try to present the relevant southwest frontier Problem study,add new content.
