A Qualitative Study On The Modernization Of Farmers' Consciousness

China is in economic transformation period.Domestic and foreign scholars have done a lot of thinkingand to study on the problem of rural areas and farmers.They had put forwarded some feasible solutions from theory to practice.But millions of villages are both homogeneous and heterogeneous from all areas.Because each village are differences and farmer is individuals.This is difficult to rely solely on the quantitative research to conduct a comprehensive grasp of the farmer individual consciousness.It may lose some valuable details.This paper take use of qualitative research way.The author explore farmers the daily operation and the way of life or experience through the actual participation of farmers under the condition of natural life,in-depth observation,depth talks,historical data search within a certain period of time in Y village.This paper will make the meaning construction of "interpretative understanding" on the story of farmers life and to present a new view and new knowledgeby studying the life and practice of farmer.Through the nine brush farmers in the management of household brush industry at different stages about day-to-day production,management,collaboration,social interaction and other practical.It is found that the peasant consciousness engaged in the brush industry has undergone a modern process of development and change.Although the timing of the change varies,it has gone through three stages.It included that the experience and friendship of stage(after the reform and opening up to 1999),the market and trading of period(1999-2009),and the market altruistic of stage(2009-now).Each stage is different and the level of modernization is unbalance.With the change of farmers' consciousness in the management of family factories,the consciousness of farmers has gradually changed from sensibility to reason and from the sense of survival to the change of development consciousness and from small productive personality to modern productive personality change and from the dependence consciousness to the change of subject consciousness and from human consciousness to the change of legal consciousness.Finally,this paper explores the influence factors of modernization of farmers' consciousness from the national policy,government guidance,leaders,social public opinion and so on.At the same time,we discusses how to improve farmers' awareness of Modern Enlightenment.What's more,the Enlightenment of improving the modernization of farmers' consciousness is discussed.Firstly,we should to adhere to the ideological and political education of peasants living.Secondly,we should to provide a solid external environment to promote the modernization of farmers' consciousness.Thirdly,we should focus on stimulating the potential of farmers' self-education,and enhance the farmers' subjective consciousness.Lastly,we should expand the social contacts of farmers and cultivate their ability to develop.
