Study On The Modernization Of Farmers' Consciousness In Shanxi Province

Chinese characteristics socialism enters a new period,and The main contradiction of our country's society has been transformed into the contradiction between the people's growing good life needs and the unbalanced development.In the new era,China's biggest development imbalance is urban and rural imbalance,and the rural development is least sufficient.“Without agricultural modernization,national modernization is incomplete,incomplete and insecure,” Xi Jinping said.For China,in which the agricultural population accounts for the vast majority,the key to China's modernization is the modernization of agriculture,rural areas and farmers,which ultimately depends on the modernization of peasant thought.Reform and opening up in the past 40 years,with the continuous development of our country's economy and society,the peasants' ideology has undergone great changes.However,in the less developed rural areas,since the economic backwardness,political weaknesses,economical narrow utilitarianism,and conceptually closed conservation are still the main characteristics of farmers,the modernity of the peasants' ideology is still very weak,and the old ideological consciousness is still strong,which has become the major bottleneck restricting the development of peasants.At present,Shanxi Province is one of the typical representatives of underdeveloped areas,where farmers' ideology is in the dilemma of modernization transformation.Based on the investigation of Jiaocheng in Shanxi Province,this paper studies and analyzes the modernization of peasant consciousness in our province from the following four parts:The first part states the basic theory overview.The basic theory of farmers' ideology is summarized from farmers' consciousness and the modernization of the peasant consciousness,respectively.In the second part,the development status of peasant consciousness in Shanxi Province is analyzed.At present,the mainstream of peasant consciousness in our province is positive,however,negative peasant consciousness is still deeply rooted.Furthermore,we summarize that the double contradiction of peasant consciousness in our province mainly includes five characteristics,such as tradition and modern,conservative and openness,dependence and independence,ignorance and reason,selfishness and simplicity.The third part conducts an in-depth analysis of the main problems and causes of the farmers' consciousness in our province.At present,the main problems of the ideological consciousness of peasants in our province are manifested in: the farmers' citizens' consciousness is weak;Farmers' awareness of reform is still lacking;The farmer's market consciousness is not mature;The farmers' spiritual world is relatively empty.The reason is the negative influence of historical tradition.The second is the lag of rural economic development;The third is the restriction of urban-rural dual structure;Fourth,the rural governance system is not sound;Fifth,farmers are less exposed to education.The fourth presents the countermeasures to realize the modernization of farmers' consciousness in Shanxi Province.It is a long historical process to transform the farmer's consciousness and realize the modernization of peasant ideology,especially in the underdeveloped rural areas.The first is to speed up the improvement of the basic living environment for farmers;the second is to develop rural socialist market economy;the third is to improve rural science and technology and education;the fourth is to enrich the spiritual and cultural life of farmers.
