Recently,to be a government employee becoming the first choice for more and more job hunters,civil service examination has become a veritable "China's first test".However,there is an increasing number of civil servants resigning due to the pressure,physical and mental fatigue and some other reasons.The rising population of who long for the job and the gradual increase in the number of who leave the job caused strange social phenomenon.Why is this happenning? Based on the phenomena above,this paper studies the characteristics of civil servants' motives,job burnout and their turnover characteristics,and tries to discuss the relationship between civil servants' motives,job burnout and their relationship with their resignation.On the one hand,the research result provides advise how government should screen civil servants;on the other hand,it plays an important role in improving work efficiency,reduce job burnout for those government employees.In order to deeply explore the motives of civil servants,job burnout and the reality of the relationship with the resignation,and to understand the internal motivation of civil servants,job burnout and the internal structure of the relationship with the resignation tendencies,this study proposes a theoretical assumptions relationship between career motivation,job burnout and resignation.With literature analysis,questionnaires and comparative analysis and other methods of research,this thesis launches four studies:(1)the characteristics of civil servants career motivation;(2)the characteristics of civil service job burnout;(3)characteristics of civil servants' resignation;(4)Research on the Relationship between Job Motivation,Job Burnout and Turnover Intention.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:First,the civil servants' motivation is divided into five dimensions: power motive,growth motive,environmental impact motive and job motivation.Based on the analysis of the basic characteristics of the civil servants' motive of civil servants in Chongqing,the research shows that there are significant differences in age,gender and educational dimension.Second,the civil service job burnout,includes physical fatigue,cognitive weakness and interest failure.Through the analysis and discussion on the basic characteristics of civil servants' professional burnout in Chongqing,it is found that there is significant difference in age,gender and educational dimension.Thirdly,the turnover of civil servants is not high on the whole,and there is no significant difference between cognition,emotion and behavior tendency.However,there are significant differences between young and middle-aged civil servants in the turnover tendency,and the number of young civil servants considering leaving and putting into practice is significantly more than middle-aged civil servants.Fourthly,the test of the relationship between the three has found that job burnout in the power of the motive and the tendency to leave is a part of the intermediary role,and job burnout in the growth of development motivation and turnover is a part of the mediating role.Based on this study,the following problems are found: the young civil servants' weakness in the motives of the civil service,the young civil service job burnout higher than the middle-aged civil servants,the work passion of young civil servants cooling down,the young civil servants have obvious "conflict between what they know and what they do".To promote the development of the civil service team as a whole,this study provides relevant countermeasures and suggestions on management aspects of selection,use,education,maintaining talents.
