A Study On The Social Work Involvement In The Elderly Population In Old-age Institutions

In our country,the aging problem is becoming more and more serious,and the old-age problem has become the focus of the society.With the opening of the pension market,lower entry threshold,more pension institutions came into being.They are faced with problems such as old age,weakened physical function,no child care,far away from social life and so on.This will lead them to more or less have certain physical and psychological problems.Therefore,it needs the attention of social workers.In this paper,the elderly in the A old-age institution are taken as the research object,the problems in the elderly group and the needs of the elderly are found by using the unstructured interview method and the participatory observation method,on the basis of which,the active aging theory is applied.The theory of interpersonal needs and rational emotional therapy model are used to design case work service and group work service,which are supported by the professional theory of social work.First,interest groups are set up to help the elderly make friends and enrich their life for the aged on the basis of the same interests.Then,in the course of the activity,it was found that there were still some problems with one of the team members.In order to solve the problem of the old man in a targeted way,to carry out the social work of the case later,to help the victim overcome his difficulties and to carry out the problems in the service process after the end of the service.This paper discusses the role that social work should play in pension institutions in Chinese society today.The study found that there is still room for improvement in the mental needs of the elderly in institutions for the aged.The professional service of social work can effectively meet the spiritual needs of the elderly in the private pension institutions and improve the quality of life of the elderly in their later years.At the same time,pension institutions need to pay attention to the changes of each elderly in the service process,social workers not only need to improve their own comprehensive ability,butalso seek social strength to meet the needs of the elderly later;At the same time,it is necessary to deepen the construction of social work talents and develop the service mode with local characteristics in combination with the local environment.
