At present, the problem of poverty in China's economic and social development is still outstanding, and the task of poverty alleviation is arduous. There are many people in our broad countryside;the population of permanent residents living in rural communities still accounts for the main part of the population in our country, the western region's poverty rate over 10%,the poverty rate of ethnic minority provinces is as high as 12%.In order to eliminate poverty from space and solve the problem of inequality,it will be a key point to increase the development intensity of the poverty-stricken areas in the west. Therefore,Chinese geographers gradually turn their research direction to the countryside. This paper collected statistical yearbook and statistical bulletin for national economic and social development of the literature, and connecting with the field survey,a total of 15 indicators established based on two system of evaluation index system,by optimizing the entropy weight method and coupling coordination degree model,ESDA was used to analyze the spatial and temporal changes of rurality in poor areas of southwest China from 2005 to 2015,rural transformation development characteristics of poverty-stricken counties in southwest China, and to explore rural development and rural transformation of coupling coordination and put forward the corresponding development countermeasure. After analysis, conclusions are drawn as follows:(1)The average of rurality index in the impoverished region of southwest China was 0.7811 in 2005,indicating the overall rural strength of the research area;In 2015,the rural mean was 0.6377,indicating the overall rural weakness of the research area.Research in the village in varying degrees of changes have taken place in ten years, the degree of change showed relatively homogeneous state, and on the space distribution and natural geographical distribution rules are highly consistency.(2)The average of rural transformation degree in poverty regions of southwest China is 0.3543,the country's first industrial workers, road density, the change in tourism comprehensive income polarization degree is bigger, changes in the rate of urbanization on the spatial distribution is homogeneous state, output value of agriculture and nonagricultural output ratio and comprehensive tourism income changes the whole study area northeast of variations in the space above the southwest, the change of cultivated land area and the county area ratio on the space of the west is higher than the eastern region as a whole. From the distribution of rural transformation degree of ranking general higher than that of the western region, eastern region gently topography convenient traffic county transformation degree of ranking is superior to the steep terrain weak infrastructure of counties.(3)The mean value of rural coupling in poor areas in southwest China is-0.8969,and the extreme difference is 0.2987.Rural counties of low coupling mainly gather in Wuling mountain area, western Yunnan border zone and Guangxi rocky desertification area in Guizhou,Yunnan medium county are mainly distributed in eastern Sichuan basin and the Yunnan-Guizhou plateau in the low altitude area, county of high concentrated distribution in he ethnoniedicinal and Wumeng mountain shall most needy area. The mean value of rural coupling coordination in the study area was-0.4706,and the extremely different value was 0.3965,which was widely distributed as a barely coordinated county.Rural coupling and rural overall development tendency of coupling coordination in space are relatively obvious,in the northwest-southeast upwards U-shaped,strength reduction before,in the southwest, northeast is inverted U-shaped,strength increase after decreases first.
