| Since 2004,the activities of terrorist organizations in southern Thailand have become increasingly rampant,causing terrorist incidents in the southern region,resulting in a large number of casualties.Insecurity in the south of Thailand has also ushered in a new peak.In addition to the contradictions left over from history,the current Thai political situation and the world anti-terrorism situation also promote the rapid development of the terrorist situation in southern Thailand.This study uses nationalism theory to study the relationship between Thai government policy and terrorism in southern Thailand.By combing the three stages of terrorist activities in southern Thailand before 1978,1978-2001 and 2001-present,as well as the policies of the Thai government in the corresponding period,we can find that there is a rising relationship between the policies of the Thai government and terrorism in southern Thailand.That is,when terrorism is rampant in southern Thailand,the Thai government will promulgate a policy specifically aimed at the south,and in this case,the terrorist activities in southern Thailand will be silenced. |
