A Study On The Influence Of The Terrorist Activities In The South Of Thailand On Local Chinese

In southern Thailand, terrorist activities are big problems to the government of Thailand. The separatists in southern Thailand hope to separate from Thailand to establish an independent state, so that they take means of violence attacking Thai government facilities, soldiers and civilians, forming the biggest threat to the peaceful life in southern Thailand’s. Terrorist activities also directly and indirectly affect the Chinese in southern Thailand. Nowadays the separatists attack the Chinese people and business in southern Thailand for the purposes of money and goods so that they can have the ability to fight against with the government.Chinese of southern Thailand income is higher than the level of income of the local people,this becomes one of the main reasons why terrorist attack Chinese. In addition, the conflict between terrorists and Buddhist, and the conflict between the army and the terrorists linked to the third party of the Chinese community.The influences by the Terrorist attacks on the Chinese, the author based on the questionnaire ranked them as, the biggest impact is on the life, followed by the commercial economy, furthermore affect mental and psychological level, and the last is the traditional culture and Religion and other implications. Paper questionnaire and field survey methodology, in addition to investigate the effects of terrorist attacks on the three provinces of Chinese in southern Thailand, but also presents a comparison of the three provinces of Chinese in southern Thailand with the locals for a terrorist incident response.
