A Study Of Chinese People's Power View

The study of the view of public power helps us understand the nature of the political society that depends on survival.Based on the data from the questionnaires in 4 cities,this paper explores the types and structural characteristics of Chinese people's view of power and its influencing factors.The study found that the Chinese people's view of power shows 4 types of diversity,including high publicity and high finiteness,high publicity but low finiteness,low publicity but high finiteness,low publicity and low finiteness.In this paper,they are summarized as civic view of power,authoritarian view of power,limited sage view of power and subject view of power.Among them,the concept of civil power with high publicity and high finiteness is most distributed in reality,and it accounts for nearly half of the proportion.The proportion of people with the view of low public but high limited orientation is close to the people holding the concept of civil power,while people with high public and low limited orientation of power are extremely rare.This paper uses the theory of political socialization to explain the main factors that influence people's power view and its mechanism.The study shows that the higher individual economic status tends to be inclined to the conservative subject-type view of power in the choice of the value choice of power ownership in the "economic-social status" model.The degree of education helps to strengthen the value choice of the people to restrict and supervise power and the independence of the judiciary on power,and to weaken the dependence of the people on power and the value choice of the exercise of the personalization of power.In the "life situation and political practice" model,Party members' identity will strengthen people's value choice for the exercise of power personalization.The more people going abroad,the more they approve of the restriction and supervision of power.At the same time,they are more opposed to the personalization of power.Life setbacks will weaken people's choice of power dependence and power personalization.The more people involved in the social organization are inclined to support the sovereignty of the people,the restriction and supervision of power,but also to a certain extent,it will strengthen the attachment to power.The influence of political participation on the concept of power is inconsistent.The more people involved in communication and contact,the more they support the restriction and supervision of power,the independence and power of the judiciary,but it will also strengthen the choice of the value of the exercise of the personalization of power.The experience of protest participation will weaken the public's choice of power restriction and supervision,and at the same time,it will also reduce people's dependence on power.People's positive evaluation of rights protection will reduce their dependence on power and the value choice of power personalization.In the "macro environment" model,on the basis of the theory of political socialization,combined with the influence of the development of modern media on the political values of the people,this paper further distinguishes the differences between the traditional media and the new media based on the network.The research shows that the traditional media only has a positive impact on the dependency of power,and the new media has more profound influence on the view of power because of its increasing penetration and depth of people's life.The use of the new media will have a positive impact on the value choice of its power restriction and supervision and the value choice of the relationship between power and judicature,and the value choice of people's exercise of power dependence and power personalization.Collectivism will strengthen people's choice of power restriction and supervision,but at the same time,it will also enhance people's dependence on power.
