Under the perspective of social capital theory, this article applies qualitative and quantitative research methods to analyze the current status and existing problems of long-term care for disabled elderly in China. It focuses on the three theoretical, macro, meso and micro theories of social capital theory.Using the main components of social capital—relationship networks, norms, and trust as the analysis dimensions of the full text, these factors are used to study the need for long-term care services for the elderly, social capital stocks, and social capital gaps in Wandaxingcheng community.Specifically, the article is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is a curt preface. It briefly states the source of the problem, the background of the topic, the literature review, and the innovation and inadequacy of the paper.Under the current background of the pressure of aging population in China and the significant problem of urban disabled elderly, the study of this paper has great practical and theoretical significance. The second chapter is the conceptual definition and theoretical basis. It mainly explains the concept and the theoretical basis of the long-term care field, and lays a good foundation for the paper.Firstly, several important concepts are defined, namely, the disabled,long-term care and social capital.Secondly, the theory of social capital theory is explained in detail, which introduces the meaning of social capital in the macro, meso and micro levels, and the major constituent elements of social capital respectively. The third chapter is the status quotation of the long-term care service of Nanchang Wandaxingcheng community. The research shows that the long-term care service of the disabled elderly has a large gap in the social capital level. The social support from the children is declining, the social support from the spouse cannot meet the demand, and the formal support of the community cannot meet the needs of care, which restricts the development of the long-term care system. The fourth chapter is the successful experience and enlightenment of foreign long-term care system.Germany,as the first country to integrate the needs of the whole society into social insurance policy, has established a long-term care system which is suitable for the actual situation of the country. His development experience is of great inspiration and reference for the establishment of long-term care system of urban disabled elderly in China. The fifth chapter is the construction path of the long-term care service system of urban disability in China. At the micro level,it is necessary to encourage the elderly to self-care and promote the elderly to participate in community affairs. It is important to maintain that old-age family pension resource and strengthen the social capital of the family. At the meso level,we should standardize the construction of various institutions and promote the formation of benign social capital. We should innovate long-term care service content and provide diversified choices for the disabled. The market mechanism should be introduced to give full play to the function of community social capital. At the macro level,it is necessary to establish supporting policies to ensure the smooth operation of long-term care insurance for the elderly. We should also pay attention to and actively cultivate non-profit organizations to raise and aggregate social capital.Attaching importance to the role of institutions and establishing long-term care service institutions. Finally,we should train caring service professionals and provide social capital talents. The sixth chapter is about conclusion and prospect.Due to the limitation of knowledge and information collection, the studies are still preliminary,in-depth and comprehensive. The relevant study and research need to further improve the shortcomings in the future.
