The national identity of the nation is an important component of a country's soft power,a source of national unity and social harmony, and an important social foundation for a nation to establish itself and rejuvenate the country. With the progress of globalization, the rise of multinational corporations, the concept of multiple values, and the prevalence of supranationalist trends, there has been a trend of so-called national recognition on a global scale. Some people even believe that there has been a global crisis of national identity.China is an ancient civilization with 5,000 years of uninterrupted history. However,as the development of modern China has been affected by many factors such as aggression by foreign powers, civil war and national issues,China's national identity issue is more complicated. Now we are carrying out the great cause of building a modern and powerful country and we must achieve the grand goal of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation What is the level of national identity of our people and what are the factors that affect their development? We need to answer it through scientific research. This paper, based on the combing, learning and reference ofdomestic and foreign related research results, constructs the theoretical analysis framework ofthis article, and puts forward the specific research questions and research hypotheses of this article. This article is a quantitative sociological study. The data used is the authoritative national sample survey(CSS2013)data.Through statistical modeling and analysis of data, the descriptive analysis and interpretive study of the national identity of contemporary Chinese nationals and their influencing factors were conducted, and conclusions with certain values were obtained.First, from a general point of view, the level of national identity ofour people is relatively high, which is inconsistent with the view that the era of globalization leads to a general decline in national identity. The statistical analysis of this paper shows that the average national identity of our country is as high as 3.40(out of 4),and it can be said that China has now become a country with a higher level of national identity. In the distribution of national identity of different groups, the national identity of the male group is higher than that of the female;the national identity ofthe upper and lower social groups is higher than the middle level(including the upper middle and lower middle).Judging from the education level of the people, the primary school and the following education groups have the highest national identity, the university education level or above has the lowest level of education, and the household registration and political status are also related to the national identity:the national identity of the agricultural household group is higher than non-agricultural.Accounts;The national identity of non-members is higher than that of communist party members.Second, economic factors have a significant effect on the national identity of the people.Among them, the absolute income at the individual level and the economic strength at the national level have a significant effect on the national identity of the people, while the relative income factor shows a significant negative correlation with the national identity in the non-agricultural household population.Third, the government performance factor has become a key variable that affects the country's national identity.Among them, social equity and basic public service are common factors that play a significant role.In addition,in a comparative analysis of further groups,it was found that the development of public services and pension social security also independently demonstrated a significant impact on the non-agricultural household groups and the national identity of party members.Fourth, the role of media use variables in the identification of individual countries is more complicated.Among them, the traditional media has always maintained a positive influence on national identity of all groups, while the new media shows a significant inhibitory effect on national identity of all groups.
