Corruption And Governance Of Grant Administration

Government corruption has always been an important problem for human society.The Grant government period is considered to be the most corrupt period in American history.During this period,the federal government sold its official duties and became corrupt.President Grant was widely criticized.The Grant government has also made Efforts,The establishment of the grant civil service committee was intended to reform the civil service system and provide experience for the reform of the civil service in the United State.This paper starts with the government corruption in this period and probes into the internal causes of this phenomenon.This thesis consists of three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The main body includes the following three parts:The first part is a brief summary of the corruption of the American government before grant's government.Through the selection of official corruption,the sale of the official,economic bribery,and the loss of the public,and other four aspects,a brief summary of the previous government corruption characteristics of grant's government.The second part analyzes the major corruption events of the grant government period from three aspects: the executive branch,the legislative body and the military government.The third part analyzes the causes of corruption in Grant's government.Political parties,patronage are intertwined with a corrupt network that hangs over American politics;Economically,the economy has developed rapidly,and the existing monopolies have emerged.They have colluded with the government to obtain illegal benefits;In society,the accumulation of corruption has caused people to become accustomed to corruption,which aggravates corruption.Objectively,due to the rise of the Democratic Party in this period and the rise of investigative reporting,a large number of corruption cases have been exposed and made public,It is also one of the most important factors of corruption in this period.As well as the grant government's efforts to reform the government's corruption reform,the grant civil service committee has played a leading role in the reform of the civil service system in the United States.
