With the continuous progress of urbanization in our country,a large number of young and middle-aged rural laborers are transferred to the cities.According to a report,at the end of 2015,the number of floating population in our country had reached 247 million, accounting for 18% of the total population. With the vigorous development in urban construction, the social problems caused by the floating population are also emerging in an endless stream. The problem of left-behind elderly in rural areas is a social issue arising under this social background.Compared with the fifth census, the sixth census data show that the proportion of people over the age of 60 in our country has risen by 2.93 percentage points, and the proportion of those aged 65 and over has increased by 1.91 percentage points.According to the census data of Yunnan Province, among the population composition of Yunnan Province, the population aged 60 and above is 5,087,000,accounting for 11.07% of the total population,of which 3,506,000 are aged 65 and over, accounting for the total population of 7.63%.Some studies show that our country is currently entering the stage of population aging.Due to the deepening of the urbanization process and the emergence of the problem of population aging,in the future, the number of rural elderly left-behind is bound to rise rapidly.Because of their children transferred to the cities, the elderly left behind at home face the problems of lack of financial support, weakening of the ability to provide life care support, and absence of spiritual comfort support. Therefore, the issue of left-behind elderly in rural areas has become a social issue that can not be ignored and needs to be urgently solved. This article takes the left-behind elderly people in the Hmong community of Bajiao Village as the research object, analyzes social support status of the elderly pension needs of the left-behind elderly people in Bajiao village through social support theory combined with Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory,to see whether the social support obtained meets their pension needs. The study found that the social support obtained by left-behind elderly pension needs has great shortcomings in terms of economic support, life care and spiritual comfort. The entire social support systemfor old-age care in rural areas still has great flaws. So I try to made an exploration of how to improve the old-age support system for left-behind elderly in rural areas. It is hoped that this study can give more attention to the elderly left behind groups in rural areas, especially those living in ethnic minority communities living in frontier areas. At the same time,it will provide a policy reference for the improvement of the rural endowment support system so as to build up an early improve rural social support system for the elderly people,so as to provide a strong support for building a harmonious society.
