At present,China's market economy is booming and urbanization continue to advance.under the combined effects of the migration of the floating population, the preference of the family pension model, and the "comprehensive two-child" birth policy,a special group has emerged as the accompanying elderly people who migrate to urban. The old people left rural areas that rely on blood and geopolitics to follow their children and live in cities.Affected by social and cultural differences between urban and rural areas, the integration of elderly people in urban communities into the city is becoming increasingly prominent. This study uses a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods and follows the line of descriptive research-interpretative research-normative research,Mainly from the economic, social life and cultural areas to discuss the social integration of the old people who move into the city in the urban community. The study found that: With the low level of social integration of elderly people who migrate into the city, the following three aspects were specifically expressed.First, the integration of the elderly in the economy with the move into the city is reflected in: significant differences in the economic sources of the group;the integration of labor re-employment is low;in terms of housing, the phenomenon of cohabitation with children is widespread.;lack of social security benefits highlights the phenomenon.Second, the integration of the elderly in the social life of the people entering the city is reflected in the phenomenon of inadequate daily life;the social interaction in the urban community is not active;the participation in leisure activities is not active, the leisure time is fragmented, and low community participation rate.Third, the integration in culture is reflected in: disagreement with the children's intergenerational values;the sense of loss caused by the role change;and a lack of sense of identity and belonging to the city. This study explores the integration difficulties encountered by the elderly in urban life, analyzes the influencing factors, links social resources, and proposes practical and feasible countermeasures from the perspectives of individuals, families, communities and the government, calls on the whole society to pay attention to accepting the old people in the city to help them find the “homeland” in the city, improve their quality of life in the old age, promote their integration into the urban community as soon as possible, and enhance their sense of well-being and belonging.
