Military retired cadres are the precious wealth of the party and the country.Military retired cadres contribute their youth and hard work to the victory of the revolution, the liberation of the nation and the modernization of new China, and make outstanding contributions to the prosperity and prosperity of the motherland. It is of great significance to do a good job in the work of rest of the army and to arrange the cadres properly, which is helpful for encouraging the morale of the soldiers, stabilizing the morale of the army, promoting the modernization of national defense and the army, and maintaining the long-term stability of the country.Military retired cadres are a special group. Before they leave the army, the y are soldiers and state cadres. They have the characteristics different from the general group, which will accompany them for a lifetime and are hard to change. At the same time, after they leave the army, they are retired elderly groups and have something in common with the general elderly group. In the process of moving from the army to the local areas, due to the changes in living environment, life style, interpersonal relationship and other aspects, retired cadres will not only face the common problems encountered by the general elderly in the process of continuing socialization, but also face a more serious challenge-from an "Army man" to a "social man".Retired military cadres have left their accustomed military environment for most of their lives a nd come to a very strange environment.Their adaptability has been tested to a great e xtent. In particular, relative to military retired cadres aged 80 and over,young-old mil-itary retired cadres(aged between 60 and 69)have a shorter time to go to the local area, face more serious problems of continuing socialization, and have a stronger desire to solve the problems of continuing socialization. Therefore, the author takes young-old military retired cadres as the research object. Some young-old military retired cadres can adapt to the local social life through their own efforts, but some of them will feel out of line with the society after leaving the army due to individual differences and other reasons, and it is difficult to integrate into it.The social characteristics disappear, and become lost, anxious and autistic, and then there will be inaccurate self-awareness,unclear role positioning, and the establishment of new people. It is necessary to build bridges and ties for them with the help of external forces, learn new values and behavior patterns, play a new role, and get out of the maladjusted predicament by continuing socialization and reconnecting with the society. In this study, the author collected relevant data by means of on-the-spot investigation, starting with an in-depth interview with 30 young-old military retired cadres in Chongqing Y Military Rest Center,to understand the basic situation in the process of continuing socialization of young-old military retired cadres, analyze the main problems faced in the process of continuing socialization of young retired cadres, and define their needs for continuing socialization.Based on this, nine of the 30 young-old military retired cadres were selected as the intervention objects.Based on the theory of continuing socialization and the Empowerment theory, the nine sections of group activities were carried out by adopting the method of group work, involving the role transformation of Military retired cadres from three different levels: personal level, interpersonal relationship level and social participation level Problems, the establis hment of new interpersonal relations, participation in social activities to play waste heat and other issues. It is found that the group work can promote the socialization of Military retired cadres at the individual level and interpersonal relationship level, and e nhance their social adaptability. However, there is some weakness in the social partic ipation level, and the effect is mainly reflected in improving the aware ness of social participation of Military retired cadres. To a certain extent, this study enriches the relatively weak research field of social work involving in military rest service management, and strives to combine theory with practice, which has certain significance for accumulating practical experience of social work and promoting the development of military rest social work. However, there are some limitations in this study, such as the lack of quantitative tools, the single intervention method, and the lack of theoretical reflection.
