Study On The Problem Of Continued Socialization Of Urban Empty Nest Elderly

The aging of population is an important problem facing the world at present.The twenty-first century is a period of rapid development of aging population in China.With the change of family structure,the rapid development of society,and the change of people's ideas,the number of empty-nest families in Chinese cities is increasing rapidly.The problem of empty nests appears,which requires the society and government to pay enough attention to the problems of empty nests.A policy concept aimed at ageing has been proposed in some welfare countries abroad,which encourages retirees to continue to participate in social activities.In our country,the problems of empty nest elderly mostly focus on the support of their living economy and medical security.But most urban empty nest old people can guarantee their daily life economically,but in fact,the biggest characteristic of urban empty nest elderly is empty nest feeling,feeling lonely and empty,feeling depressed,it is difficult to show interest in life.At this time,it is particularly important for the elderly to continue to socialize.Continuous socialization refers to the process in which individuals continue to understand social culture and learn social knowledge after the completion of basic socialization in order to adapt to the change of roles and social life.In order to cope with the rapid change and development of the society.the elderly also need to continue to socialize,learn new knowledge,play a new role,assume new responsibilities and obligations,so as to adapt to the new environment.The socialization of the elderly is to learn and experience the new life,so that the elderly can truly achieve "old people have a job,old people have fun".Therefore,social workers can carry out all kinds of professional intervention activities and non-professional entertainment activities for the urban empty nest elderly,actively encourage the urban empty nest elderly to participate in social activities and expand their social interaction fields.Enrich their spiritual life and safeguard their physical and mental health in order to alleviate or eliminate the"empty nest" and other psychological problems resulting from the empty nest,thereby improving their quality of life and happiness and promoting theircontinued socialization.In this paper,the L community of H city as the research site,select the empty nest elderly in the community as the focus of understanding the object of service.Scientific methods such as investigation and in-depth interview are used to understand their needs and process of socialization with their continuing socialization as the starting point.According to the survey,it is found that the economic situation of the empty nest elderly in L community is generally good,which can basically meet the needs of daily life,but there is a need to gain social respect and social interpersonal communication.Cultural entertainment and social recognition with the outside world belongs to the need for continued socialization.With the strong support of relatives and their neighbors,in order to meet the needs of empty nests in L community,a wide coverage and targeted group work mode and community work are selected to deal with the problem of continuing socialization of the elderly in the community.With the support of socialized theory,advantage perspective and activity theory,the activities such as handmade,smartphone usage popularization and community elderly volunteer service are carried out in order to achieve the goal of continuing socialization for the elderly in the community.It is hoped that through the development of group activities and community activities,it will provide a platform for the elderly to communicate and display,strengthen the communication and interaction among the elderly,and enhance the sense of belonging of the elderly.Set up a sense of mutual assistance,tap their potential,for the elderly to re-integrate into the mainstream society to provide help.Finally,we hope that the problems faced in the implementation of this activity and its practical achievements can be seen through a small part of the overall,for the group work involved and community work involved in the practice of the empty nest elderly to explore the practice of continuous socialization to provide a valuable reference.
