Objective: To supervise the quality of safety and quality improvement is always the focus of prison work.Due to the feature of prison life,inmates in the transformation generally experience anxiety,depression,fear and other negative emotions,seriously affecting daily transformation and the safety of supervision.What's more,compared with ordinary prisoners,AIDS inmates' mental health level is lower.At present,the prison attaches great importance to the psychological correction of prisoners,and has made progress in capital investment,institutional settings,professional training and other aspects.However,the individual psychological counseling is more applied in the solution of serious psychological problems and crisis intervention,and the power is very limited.The group counseling for inmates with negative emotion has the advantages of low cost,high efficiency and can effectively alleviate the contradiction between the shortage of professional staff and avoid the development of more severe psychological problems caused by persistent accumulation of negative emotions.This study made group counseling program based on the research on male AIDS inmates' depression and test the effect of counseling intervention on depressive mood by doing experiments made in a prison,providing reference for education and management of AIDS inmates,providing education management and reference on AIDS inmates.Methods: Firstly,a questionnaire survey of AIDS inmates was carried out to investigate the relationship between depression and self efficacy.Then establish a group counseling program intervention for depression was established,finally 54 selected inmates who had the feeling of depression were divided into experimental group and control group,control group two,three groups,whose depression level and self-efficacy had no significant difference before the experiment.Each group was treated with different experimental treatments within a specified time period.The experimental group received a depression intervention group counseling a week.The control group accept a regular activity of a game.The control group two did not receive any treatment except medical care and maintenance of the prison management routine.Dpression levels and self-efficacy of the three groups were measured 1month after 8 group counseling to test the effect of group psychological intervention.Results: The study showed that(1)male AIDS committed widespread depression.(2)There was no significant difference in the total score of depression in terms of age,remaining sentence,marital status,but there were significant differences in the degree of education and social support.(3)the total score of depression was negatively correlated with the score of self-efficacy.(4)There was significant difference after the implementation of group intervention to the experiment group.The total score of depression and four groups of specific symptoms were significantly lower and self-efficacy scores significantly improved.Conclusion: Group counseling can reduce levels of depression in male AIDS inmates and improve self-efficacy with a lasting effect.
