The issue studied in this paper is about the mental comfort of the elderly.The target of service is the elderly living alone.Elderly people living alone are the most difficult groups in the elderly population because they are basically all due to their spouse’s premature death.Their children don’t have all the year round,which result in they living alone.They often feel lonely and lonely.They especially hope that someone can chat with them.This hope is stronger than other old people,and this hope is a spiritual comfort.The theories used in this paper are mainly the theory of empowerment,activity theory,group interaction theory,demand theory and social support theory.The application of these theories provides ideological guidance for the implementation of practical work.This article takes the elderly living alone in D community of Dapeng new District in Shenzhen as an example.Through investigation and analysis,this paper explores the problem of mental comfort for the elderly living alone.In addition to poor personal interpersonal skills,the main reason is that the children’s mental comfort to them is insufficient..In addition to children,lack of spiritual comfort for old people living alone is also a very important reason from friends,relatives,neighbors,and the community.This paper uses group work and case work to solve the problem of mental comfort in elderly people living alone in the D community.The effect is that the group work solves the problems of peer group and community lack of spiritual comfort for elderly people who live alone.The case work solved the spirit of the elderly,such as children and neighbors.The problem of lack of consolation ultimately enhances the ability of the elderly living alone to enjoy their spiritual comfort.This concludes that social work has unique methods and theories in solving the problems of spiritual comfort for elderly people who live alone.It can also exert good results.
