Research On Social Work Involvement In Spiritual Comfort Of Urban Elderly

According to the data of the seventh census,the permanent resident population of Kunming is 8460088,and the population aged 60 and over is 1218187,accounting for 14.40% of the permanent resident population of Kunming.Compared with the sixth census,the proportion of the elderly population has increased,urbanization has further deepened,and the family structure tends to become smaller.However,small families will weaken the pension function of each family and increase the pension burden.It is more and more difficult to meet the spiritual comfort needs of the elderly through family based methods,especially for the urban elderly on the edge of society.Therefore,it is particularly important to meet the spiritual comfort needs of the elderly through social forces.In January 2016,the Ministry of Civil Affairs issued the guidelines for social work services for the elderly,which defined the content of social work services for the elderly,in which the spiritual comfort of the elderly was proposed as the main service content of social work.Therefore,how to meet the spiritual comfort needs of the elderly is worthy of discussion and research in social work.As the spiritual security of the community,the elderly face more economic constraints than the spiritual security of the community.Most of the elderly living in community y face the problem of lack of family comfort function,and social workers need to help the elderly take measures to deal with or meet the lack of spiritual needs in advance.The author investigates and analyzes the spiritual comfort needs of the elderly in community y,and carries out practical exploration of social work based on the spiritual comfort needs of the elderly in community y.The study found that the elderly in Y community mainly face the needs of culture and entertainment,interpersonal communication and respect.(1)Based on the analysis of the demand for culture and entertainment,it is found that there is a lack of cultural and entertainment places in community y,which is also a community issue of great concern to the residents of community y.social workers take this as an entry point,not only establish professional relations with the elderly in the community,but also promote the communication and contact between the elderly in the community by improving cultural and entertainment facilities and regularly carrying out recreational activities,So as to meet the needs of culture and entertainment;(2)For the needs of interpersonal communication,the friendly neighborhood relationship established in Y community is mainly based on the early cultural and entertainment activities,which helps to build a peer support network to meet the needs.Externally,it is encouraged to participate in various cultural performances held by the community and streets and self-organized group building activities held by the community to broaden the circle of interpersonal communication;(3)The demand for respect mainly starts from the neighborhood of community y and relevant external units.Through continuous empowerment of the elderly in community y,we can help them redefine the value of old age and realize the significance of old age,so as to obtain respect.Through the research,the author suggests that:(1)build a local spiritual comfort resource bank for the elderly and form a multi-party linkage system to meet the individualized spiritual needs of the elderly;(2)The government should increase the purchase of spiritual comfort services for the elderly,extend the service cycle and ensure practical results;(3)Social workers should pay attention to the reflection of professional ethics,and pay special attention to whether the establishment of professional relations is equal;(4)Give full play to the role of self-organization of the elderly in providing spiritual comfort for the elderly.When the elderly in community y are seriously lacking in spiritual comfort,joining self-organization and relying on self-organization activities can not only promote their social participation,but also establish peer support networks,and meet their needs for spiritual comfort through their own actions in the process of participation,It can also rely on self-organization to participate in community governance,become something to do,and realize the transformation from "doing things" to "doing things" in the community.
