Legislation Research On Social Science Popularization In Jiangxi Province

The popularization of social science refers to the use of certain methods to popularize social scientific knowledge,disseminate scientific ideology,promote scientific methods,as well as carry forward scientific spirit for specific groups of people.Popularization of social sciences can motivate people to set up a correct outlook on world,on life,and on values.It is an essential tool for people to understand and reform the world scientifically.As early as March 2004,the "Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party on Further Prospering and Developing the Philosophy and Social Sciences" clearly stated: "The prosperity and development of philosophy and social sciences is vital to the overall progress of the party and the country's undertakings." General Secretary Xi Jinping,once pointed out at the Symposium on Philosophy and Social Sciences: “A country without advanced natural sciences cannot lead the world,and a country without prosperous philosophy and social sciences also cannot lead the world.” Meanwhile,article 20 th of the Constitution of the People's Republic of China stipulates: The state shall develop natural sciences and social sciences,popularize scientific and technological knowledge,and reward research achievements and technological inventions.Therefore,we must realize the importance of popularizing social sciences.In order to implement the constitutional requirements,Jiangxi Province has accelerated the process of legislation on the popularization of social sciences,and launched pre-legislative investigations both inside and outside the province.Carrying out comprehensive understanding for the status quo and issues of the popularization of social sciences in the province.Also learning lessons on legislative practices from other provinces.Through a series of work,eventually promulgated the “Regulations on the Popularization of Social Sciences in Jiangxi Province”.This article will be on this account as a research object,from the basic theory of expounding the popularization of social sciences to introducing the social science popularization as well as legislative practice in Jiangxi and other areas outside the Jiangxi.The relevant issues on the social science popularization legislation in Jiangxi Province have been analyzed and have compared with the legislative practices outside the province.Based on this,some corresponding suggestions have been put forward for the problems.
