Promoting The Prosperity And Development Of Social Sciences By Fostering Social Organizations: A Study And Suggestions

Social organizations, founded by citizens from different social classes, are thenonprofit, non-governmental and social organizational forms and networks. In China,social organizations are developing fast since the Reform and Opening-up withgrowing impact on the society, which increases the capacity and diversity of Chinesesociety and accelerates the process to civil society from socialist one.Tianjin Federation of Social Sciences Circle (TFSSC) was taken as the examplein this paper. By using literature research, comparative method and the questionnaireabout quality of Tianjin people, the conclusion that TFSSC is the link betweenscholars and the government and a public social organization with abundant politicalresources was drawn.As a social organization connecting the government and scholars, TFSSCfocuses its tasks on the development of the society and human beings, discussesimportant theoretical and practical topics on economics, politics, literature and societywith other academic associations, and promotes the development and prosperity ofsocial sciences.Based on the SWOT analysis about TFSSC’s situation as a social organization,the strategy of TFSSC was developed, that is, building the management systems ofacademic associations, social scientific researches and information works, legallyclarifying the function of federation of social sciences circle, and strengthening socialscientific publicity and propagation by more and more branded activities.
