Nursing care workers are a new type of labor force that has grown up under the background of the “silver hair wave”.Its professional development is the “righteousness” of cultivating this army of labor force to become a high-quality talent team.At present,the population of Lanzhou City is characterized by ageing,aging,and empty nesting.The scale of the family has become increasingly smaller and thinner.Faced with the enormous pressure of family retirement,institutional care of the elderly has become the choice of many elderly people.In pension institutions,an important service provider that cannot be separated from the elderly is the nursing care worker.However,the Lanzhou City's pension institutions have a series of problems,such as their geographical location,lack of funding,inadequate government support,and low social recognition,which not only make the organization itself unsatisfactory,but also make internal care for the elderly.There is a dilemma in the career development of the staff.Therefore,this article takes the sample of the elderly nursing staff of the six old-age care institutions in the urban area of Lanzhou City as a research sample.The questionnaire survey and field interviews are used to study the career development of nursing staff in Lanzhou City.There is six Difficulty: First,the top-level design of career development;second,low professional identity;third,low level of vocational skills;fourth,difficulty in upgrading professional skills;fifth,low satisfaction of job;sixth,the career security is weaker.The predicament for the career development of nursing care workers in Lanzhou City.The author analyzed the top-level design,sense of identity,skill level,skill upgrading difficulty,satisfaction,and occupational security.Also proposed a series of countermeasures to solve the career development difficulties of nursing care workers.That is,to carry out top-level design and improve supporting policies;to enhance the professional identity of nursing care workers;to improve the vocational education system is the core of improving professional skills;to reduce the resistance of nursing care professional skills;Increase the Career Satisfaction and enhance the Career Support for Nursing Care Workers.
