Research On Marxism Space Theory And The Development Of Space In China

The dramatic change in global geographic landscape is a distinctive feature of modern society.Thefoundation of world multi-polarization,economic globalization,social informatization,and cultural diversity is actually the spatialization of production mode.Today,the enormous energy released by space is greater than any other time in history.It is no exaggeration to say that space use,spaceoccupation,and production space constitute the core issues of this era.On the surface,classic Marxist theory seems to have congenital flaws that take time as a preference,and it is difficult to cope with the era issues brought about by the dramatic changes in the geographical landscape of capital today.However,in fact,"space" has never left Marx's line of sight,and Marxist theory contains abundant space ideas.In the conception of historical materialism,Marx and Engels took practice as the cornerstone and revealed the basic rules of the spatial evolution of human society according to the different stages of the development of production mode.That is to say,from the natural unification of space in ancient times to the class society,especially capitalism.In the society,the human social space presents the separation and opposition of urban and rural areas and the trend of polarization.In the future,the emergence of new forms of the harmonious integration of urban and rural socialism and communist society constitutes the spatial dialectics of the mode of production.In the theory of surplus value,Marx and Engels took the free-competitive capitalist mode of production as the object of analysis,expounded the capital's eradication of the essence of space and the harsh reality of the space of capital for colonial workers to live in space,proposed the elimination of capitalist private ownership and realized space justice.The space resources contained in Marxist theory have long been obscured due to the second international dogma.In the second half of the 20 th century,with the unbalanced development of imperialism and the frequent flow of transnational capital,the new Marxist scholars represented by Henri Lefebvre,David Harvey,and Manuel Castells consciously applied the Marxist theoretical paradigm.Through in-depth digging,the original space theory resources in Marx and Engels' thoughts,combined with the latest developments in modern capitalism,have reconstructed Marxist critical theories of social space theory.This not only correctly reveals the secret of prosperity that postwar capitalism has maintained long-term stability through space production,but also theoretically advanced Marxism into a new phase of spatialization.The Marxist social space theory reveals that modern production mode hasbeen changed from production in space to production of space itself.The development model of modern countries has become increasingly spatialized,urbanized,technologicalized,mobilized,and ecologicalized.The role of space in modern production has become increasingly prominent.In the face of the current overcapacity in our country and the lack of impetus for economic development,we need to effectively change the mode of production,transform the production in space into space production itself,use the development of new space to nurture new impetus for development,and use development power to open up new space for development.The spatial production pattern with Chinese characteristics truly realizes economic and social development shifting and speeding,and injects new vitality into the new normal of the economy.Under the new normal economy,the construction of a spatial pattern with Chinese characteristics needs to be based on the reality of China's current spatial development,guided by the Marxist space theory and to innovate in different fields,such as “networking,” “information,” “Belt and Road Initiative”,“CityGroups," "cultivation and development of various types of basic space" and so on.At the same time,we must also be alert to the possible risks brought about by space production.We must actively explore a path to justice in the premise of people's livelihood,and work hard tocontribute Chinese wisdom and Chinese strength to build a new space for human civilization with a destination of "Human Destiny Community".
