Research On Sino-US Diplomatic Security Dialogue Mechanism

The Sino-US relations in the early 21 st century are becoming increasingly complex and strategic.How China and the United States define cooperation,divergence,view of the world and thinking about the future has become the decisive issues that will affect the strategies of the two countries.The emergence of the Trump Regime has been increasing a number of new variables to the relationship between China and the United States.The significance of Sino-US strategic dialogues,communications and consultations is getting greater and greater.Under this political background,“Xi-Trump Summit” has agreed on the establishment of four new dialogue mechanisms.As the first diplomatic security dialogue mechanism,it not only carries the strategic demands of China and the United States,but also serves as a strategic dialogue platform for the remolding of Sino-US relations under the new situation.The Sino-US diplomatic security dialogue is one of the more than 90 bilateral dialogues established by China and the United States so far.It is also the first strategic consultation mechanism for the first diplomatic security issue established by China and the United States.It is also a new mechanism based on the new situation,new changes,new problems and new demands of the two Presidents of both China and the United States.Whether this mechanism can play its expected strategic functions and how it can help to plan and set up Sino-US relations strategically have become a topic of wide concern and wide discussion all over the world.This is an urgent need for both China and the United States to have an in-depth analysis and discussion about the background and motivation for the establishment of this dialogue mechanism,the motive force and standard of the operation,the exertion and guarantee of the function,the problem and influence of the latent storage.In terms of the complex Sino-US relations,the historical orientation and the realistic positioning of this mechanism are particularly important.It becomes especially important to discuss the personnel composition further and to talk about the issues and strategic functions of this mechanism as well.How China and the United States could take the strategic opportunities,reduce strategic differences and achieve strategic win-win results also depends on the strategic design,strategic management and strategic management of the strategic dialogues between China and the United States.Therefore,the study of Sino-US diplomatic security dialogue mechanism is not only of academic significance,but also of long-term strategic and practical significance.This paper studies the development of the Sino-US diplomatic security mechanism through looking back to the mechanism's development process and the significance of Sino-US strategic and economic dialogue mechanism in the progress of the Sino-US relationship.The paper is divided into four chapters:Chapter 1: The Background of Sino-US Diplomatic Security Mechanism's Establishment.This chapter mainly introduces the background of this mechanism's establishment.The Sino-US relation is becoming more complex after the Donald Trump Regime came into power.During president Xi's visit to the US,the Sino-US diplomatic security mechanism came into being and the Sino-US strategic relationship is entering an exploration stage.Chapter 2:Historical Positioning of Sino-US Diplomatic Security Dialogue Mechanism.This chapter chiefly discusses the evolution of Sino-US dialogue mechanism and describes the evolution and changes of Sino-US strategic and economic dialogue mechanism in an effort to explore the historical position of Sino-US diplomatic security dialogue mechanism.Chapter 3:The Positioning in Reality of Sino-US Diplomatic Security Dialogue Mechanism.This chapter briefly discusses the personnel composition,agenda scope,and mechanism functions of the Sino-US diplomatic security dialogue,and analyzes the status,role,and influence of the Sino-US diplomatic security dialogue mechanism.Chapter 4:Sino-US Diplomatic Security Dialogue Mechanism and Sino-US Relations.This chapter focuses on how the establishment and development of this mechanism may affect the direction of Sino-US relations,how Sino-US relations may be positioned in the new era,and how China may act in response as well.
