Dialogic diplomacy is an important tool for Sino-US bilateral relations and results from the fact that the Sino-US relations have come to a certain stage of development .This dialogic diplomacy also brings a series of dialogue and cooperation mechanism. Similarly, the level and effextiveness of dialogic diplomacy is an important indicator to test the degree of the development of bilateral relations. China is the world's largest developing country, the United States is the world's largest developed country, the importance of Sino-US relations have gone far beyond the bilateral scope, which increasing with more global significance. The growing economic power of China as well as the economic globalization leads to the interdependence of the two sides and has never been as profound as today.Accompanied with the increasing in complementary of the economic structure,the elements of confrontation are weakning,the importance of Sino-US relations are growing,dialogue and cooperation has become the mainstream diplomatic instrument. After the 2009 financial crisis, China has become America's second largest trading partner and biggest creditor, economic interdependence is more obvious. Also America needs China in the fight against terrorism, non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, global warming as long as other non-traditional security problems.Both China and the United States aware that the interdependence in political, economic, and security is deepening , and the best way to protect their national interests is to keep dialogue and cooperation ,while confrontation and conflict would bring disastrous consequences. At the same time,the emerging friction and conflict in the area of political, economic and military requires more in-depth exchanges and cooperation at the macro level. As the dialogue continues, the specific and short-term Sino-US cooperation upgrades to long-term and strategic cooperation.Dialogic diplomacy not only helps established lots of dialogue and cooperation mechanisms ,but also promotes the Sino-US relations developed healthily. Sino-US dialogic diplomacy reflects following roles: to ensure that the Sino-US communication channels open; to restrict Sino-US relations in a rational scope without any extreme foreign policies. Meanwhile, the function of dialogic diplomacy is also affected by below factors: the limitations of dialogic diplomacy works as a diplomatic instrument; the interference from U.S. internal political groups; the divergence of interests between China and U.S. and so on. Dialogic diplomacy and series of dialogue mechanisms play a certain role in managing Sino-US relations. Developing and making good use of dialogic diplomacy will help China to take the initiative in shaping the Sino-US relations and to ensure a stable external environment for peaceful development.
