Under the new media,the world is changing rapidly,and the Internet public opinion and the Internet public opinion crisis are presenting a tendency of simultaneous transmission and mutual promotion.The Customs,as the country's supervision agency for the entry and exit of the country,is responsible for exercising the national sovereignty and standardizing the inbound and outbound behaviors.Strengthening the customs crisis public relations and handling public relations,will help the customs to win public support,establish a positive image of“guardians of the country”and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the customs business.In the era of new media,the public opinion of the customs network is facing new opportunities and challenges.This undoubtedly increases the difficulty of public relations on the customs network crisis.With the continuous deepening of reforms,the appeals caused by the games of different interest groups have become more diversified,which has also caused continuous publicity of customs related to the Internet,and the pressure on the customs network public sentiment crisis is also growing;at the same time,the rise of new online media provides equal,two-way,and interactive communication channel,which is conducive to giving full play to the role of public opinion supervision,and prompting the entire process of customs law enforcement actions to be placed under the attention and examination of the "public power field." In recent years,there have been some cases of customs corruption.Only through the disclosure of internet public opinion could they be investigated and punished,and it forced Customs to strengthen internal management.However,under the new media,China's Customs still have a big shortage in responding to the Internet public sentiment crisis.The construction of customs public relations and the handling of the Internet public sentiment crisis are all in the primary stage,especially when dealing with social emergencies and the resulting online public sentiment crisis.It will often have a strong negative social effect,which will ultimately affect the overall image and credibility of the customs to a large extent.Therefore,under the new media,how customs can change their mindset,innovate work methods,scientifically respond to the internet public opinion crisis,and strengthen the building of customs public relations capabilities have important practical significance for shaping a good image of customs and promoting the healthy development of customs.This paper adopts literature analysis and case analysis methods.At the background of the new media,and based on the government's public relations theory,new public service theory,and government image theory,this paper describes the domestic and foreign research status of customs network response to the public sentiment crisis in new media.Then,this paper analyses the emergence and response of the customs network crisis in new media,as well as the impact of internet public opinion crisis on Customs image,technical personnel,discourse distribution,law enforcement credibility,public supervision and the two-way communication channel.Forwardly,this paper has clearly defined the main measures taken by Customs in responding to the Internet public opinion crisis in new media;further,the problems and causes of handling the Internet public opinion crisis in new media have been analyzed.In the end,this paper gives suggestions from four perspectives:the awareness to internet crisis,eliminating cross-departmental barriers,strengthening the construction of talent teams and technological innovation,and establish two-way communication channel.This paper aims to provide reference and assistance for Customs to deal with the Internet public opinion crisis in the new media era,and also provide guidance on the construction of customs public relations and the promotion of the customs image.
