Media Convergence And News Property Rights Protection

With the deepening of media integration,infringement on the news information is getting worse,and property rights protection is caught up in the “prisons dilemma”,the challenge of which is common both in China and abroad.This paper using the case method,from the six aspects on the copyright consciousness,laws and regulations,administrative supervision,media called on,the industry to protect themselves and the third party to protect their rights,which compared with chinese and foreign country,to analyse the difficulties and challenges in our country,which is the current news and information property fight protection.Then we find that: the weakness of copyright protection,laws and registrations delayed lack of administrative supervision,media wags become formulaic,the result of selt-defence of industry is not satisfactory and the embarrassment of the third party to protect their rights.Accorading to the situation and existing problems drawing from the successful experiences of foregin news information property rights protection,the paper argues that China should improve its property fights protection mechanism and the judicial protect system,increase the copyright awareness of interested parities,the establishment of copyright trading platform,establish in mechanisms and using the technology innovation to standardize management of the copyright.In addition,the media may from a rights alliance based on their joint efforts and actively participate in international exchanges and cooperation.
