As an orientation of Chinese modernity, individualization plays a dual role in the differentiation and integration of individual action, social relation and social structure in rural China. It creates conditions for rural individual to pursue freedom and realize their rise by advocating the idea of disintegrating the collective and liberating themselves. However, due to the differences of social economic, political and cultural development between China and the west, the process of individualization in China is in a state of imperfect and unstable development, which leads to different individualized dilemma. This study is based on the development of rural society, using the theory of individualization to investigate the plight of of rural married migrant women's work experience.First of all,the development of urbanization and the rise of free market norms in China is the generation environment of rural married women working in cities.Secondly, the awakening of rural women's subject consciousness and the oppression of real life are the motive force of this action. Finally, the rural married migrant women's action is into the plight of the individualization. From the"de-embedded-de-traditional-embedded" process, this study explains the social roots of migrant action's failure.Through the research,it is found that rural married women in the process of migration are not fully personalized, showing a co-existence of empowerment and rise, passive and lost.In the process of de-embedding,it shows a semi-de-embedding state, which is related to the culture and order of Chinese traditional social community.Gender difference and the path dependence of role division are the basic reasons that lead to the rural married women's difficulty to achieve complete de-embedding.In the process of"de-traditionalization",the development of the individual makes it fall into another kind of unpredictable risk and dilemma and the individual must bear all unknown risks that migrant workers may face, resulting in the failure of migrant action; In addition,"embedded" system environment is not perfect, rural married women's interests and rights are difficult to be guaranteed, which is the most intuitive manifestation of their individual dilemma.Under the subjective understanding and objective regulation, rural married women choose to return to their families and rural areas in due course. As one of the manifestations of individualization, migrant working reveals the unique path of individualization of Chinese society from one side. For married rural women in China, the essential causes of their individual plight of migrant working are mainly divided into individual factors, family factors and social factors. The mutual influence and interweaving of the three factors is an important reason for their" no longer" and "not yet" individual status, which leads to the thinking of rural social order and social construction.
