On The Present Situation And Preventive Measures Of Ethnic Minority Crimes In Western China

In the 21 st century,with the rapid development of China's economy,society is undergoing a special period of transition,and various social conflicts have also been increasing.As a result,our social security situation has become more severe than before.China is a multi-ethnic country from ancient times to the present.There are fifty-five ethnic minorities in China's existing fifty-six ethnic minorities.The problem that accompanies this national situation is that the crimes based on ethnic minorities have become increasingly prominent.The emergence of this issue should cause concern.However,in the current field of criminal jurisprudence and criminology,research on ethnic minority crimes is in its infancy,and all data and surveys are still relatively lacking.Because of China's special ethnic structure,and the author himself is also a minority,during the school study,he was very interested in the related issues of ethnic crimes,so he wrote this paper.The paper begins with a discussion of current academic viewpoints,and then defines the definition of ethnic crimes and their criminal characteristics.The author summarizes ethnic crimes as occurring within a certain period of time and within a certain region.Criminal offenders are the mainstay of crimes.The sum of sex,concentration,and group characteristics.And this type of crime shows regional and concentrated nature,the ethnic masses habits,light law,strong clan status,and the generally low level of crime subject culture.Then the article discusses the theoretical value and practical significance of the study of such crimes,which proves the necessity of the research.In the third chapter,the article elaborates on the more prominent types of current crimes committed by ethnic minorities: violent crimes and drug crimes.According to the foregoing,the article analyzes the current situation and causes of ethnic minority crimes based on data and judicial practice,and estimates the future direction of such crimes based on these reasons.At the end of the article,according to the discussion of the whole article,some crime control paths were proposed from both the state and society.In the state control,the main methods are to promote legal reforms,accelerate economic development in ethnic areas,improve the quality of education,and pay attention to the subculture structure.In the social control path,there are mainly the following ways: use and give play to the role of religious organizations in the ethnic regions,exert influence on the ethnic customs and habits in the ethnic minority groups,take advantage of the leading role of ethnic minorities,and strengthen the export and cultivation of labor in ethnic areas.Ethnic Minority law enforcement cadres and other countermeasures to improve the status quo of crimes among ethnic minorities.
