Truck transportation occupies a very important position in domestic road transport.In recent years,upsizing and heavy-loading is the development trend of China's freight market,which has virtually increased the incidence of road traffic accidents of heavy trucks,directly affecting people's lives and property.At present,the impact of trucks on road traffic safety is a problem we must face.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to propose corresponding safety measures in response to serious and severe road traffic accidents of trucks.The author selects domestic road traffic accident data of trucks from 2009 to 2017,and analyzes the relation between feature variables and the corresponding number of accidents from five aspects: the driver,the truck,the road,the operating environment,and the main cause of the accident.The result of principal component and cluster analysis of the accident modalities shows the distribution law of heavy road traffic accidents of trucks.The cusp catastrophic model of the trucks is established,and the analysis finds that periodical or continuous changes of certain parameters cross the disagreement point set,which is the direct cause of abrupt change in truck operation.Cusp catastrophic model is combined to analyze the mechanism of road traffic accidents in detail and to verify the feasibility of the proposed model.Through fault tree analysis,a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the cause of serious and severe road traffic accidents is carried out.Corresponding accident cases are combined to verify the correctness of the fault tree model that has been built.Finally,a series of targeted engineering preventive measures and recommended policies are proposed,which provide very important references to the prevention of road traffic accidents of trucks.The research result shows that truck drivers of heavy road traffic accidents are mostly of high driving age,especially on the freeway.And the risk of heavy road traffic accidents will increase correspondingly when the driving is speeding or overloading.The main lure of heavy road traffic accidents lies in bad weather conditions,poor breaking and illegal driving behaviors of failed,over-speed and over-loading driving.These four factors often accompany with one another.Heavy road traffic accidents often occur in the time range from 6 p.m.to 9a.m.the next morning.Curved section,unmarked line and no safety facilities all severelyinfluence the occurrence of road traffic accidents.The basic principle of preventing heavy road traffic accidents is to make the track of people and things outside the critical point.The structure importance,probability importance and critical importance of driving age,upper and lower ramps,poor braking or failed,overloading and over-speed driving are all very high.Corresponding countermeasures adopted in the aspects of truck drivers,trucks,driving roads,driving environment and traffic enforcement can effectively prevent the occurrence of heavy road traffic accidents.
