Turkey was set to raise its economic development level with Syria in 2002,and signed the landmark free trade agreement with Syria in 2007.Turkey exercise soft power to take an active part in the Middle East and advance the interests of the state, striving to become indispensable mediators to the Middle East peace,Turkey and Syria for nearly 10 years of extensive cooperation is regarded as the symbol of success for “zero problems” neighbourhood policy and diplomatic model, and Turkey's rising as Middle East regional power status symbol. However, the decade-long reconciliation between the two countries,as the Syrian crisis and Turkey's support for the Syrian opposition, quickly dissipated, and the two sides have turned sharply from a partnership.Turkey predicts that the regime of Bashar will soon fall as a result of mass street politics and social movements, just as Tunisia and Libya did.To accelerate the toppling Syria's regime,Turkey bolster Syria's opposition groups Syrian national council(SNC),and provide training, weapons and logistics for free Syrian army(FSA),and indiscriminate support, including “ Islamic State of Iraq and Syria ”,all the opposition, which accelerated the extremist group “Islamic State of Iraq and Syria” of rapid rise.In the fight against the ISIS,the dependence of the US on Kurdish forces has led to a rapid rise of Kurds on the Turkish border, with Turkey's Kurdish worries escalating.Since then, fighting Kurdish forces in Syria has been a major target of Turkey's policy towards Syria, surpassing the overthrow of the government of Bashar al-Assad.The protracted Syrian civil war has brought about 2.75 million refugees into Turkey, and the refugee crisis challenges the government's ability to govern. The policy of toppling Bashar and the serious differences on the Kurdish issue have caused the diplomatic dilemma between Turkey and Russia,US,EU.The six-year-long Syrian crisis is the intersection of Turkey's domestic challenges and diplomatic woes.Under “neo-Ottomanis” foreign diplomacy, the regional ambitions of AKP,which is committed to the balance of power and to restore order in the Middle East, meet in the Syrian crisis.Turkey sectarianism and geopolitical interests overlap in the Syrian crisis, domestic terrorist threats, border security, social development and the foreign ethnic religious conflict in Syria, linkage proxy war and power game.Turkey's internal and external contradictions in Syria concentrated interweave,Turkey's Syria policy faces opposition weak,by Syria's Kurdish armed water-bifurcation,ISIS itself, refugee problem and multiple difficulties such as diplomatic dilemma.Investigate its reason,AKP unrealistically pursue new Ottoman and sectarianism, tried to Syria as a strategic fulcrum, restore order in the Middle East for regional dominance, and Turkey misjudgment circumstances of the Syrian crisis, overestimate their own power and influence is the main internal cause. The complex game between foreign powers and regional powers in Syria is an external cause of Turkey's Syrian policy dilemma.Turkey's approach to Syria comes at a time when it depends on the realignment of the party's diplomatic realism, while also being influenced by the us,Russia and the Middle East and the Kurds. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first is the background and motivation of Turkey's policy in Syria after the Middle East change. Background for its internal,Mr Erdogan,AKP consolidated power with the Turkish national strength enhanced, and the pursuit of regional power ambitions and geopolitical interests, foreign policy,AKP foreign policy designer Mr Davutoglu proposed “neo-Ottomanis” as the core of the establishment of the diplomatic thought. Its external background is the complex game between the Syrian crisis and the regional powers and regional powers in Syria. The second part mainly explores the basic contents of Turkey's policy on Syria, which mainly includes the policy of toppling Bashar regime,Kurdish policy, refugee policy and anti-terrorism policy. The third part mainly discusses the plight of Turkey's policy towards Syria and Turkey's support for the Syrian opposition "hard to succeed," and is very costly,Syria's armed Kurds as "menace" to Turkey, refugee problem become Mr Erdogan's government burden, and the main contradiction in diplomacy with the United States and Russia is still pending.
