Currently, the Syrian issue is hot in the Middle East, not just a long-delayed civil war,but also an interests competition involving many countries. This paper focuses on the study of U.S.policy towards Syria since the Syrian crisis. The U.S.-led Western countries have added fuel to the flame in an attempt to achieve the fall of Bashar Assad regime, but fail and triggered a complex political game. With the help of allies, the Syrian government has retained power and taken an advantage in countering IS.The Syrian crisis has brought a great blow to Syria, such as paralyzed economy, intensified internal politics and sectarian tensions, also into “ a proxy war ” where all powers participate within and outside the region. The unprecedented refugee crisis has led a hidden danger to Syria and its neighboring countries. The U.S.policies are affected not only by internal factors such as parliaments, parties, interests, but also external factors,Syria,Russia,Iran etc. With case study, the reason why Trump administration has carried out the first direct military action in Syria since the crisis is that U.S.believes that Syria has launched a chemical attack, even speaking bluntly to avoid another “ humanitarian disaster ”.The chemical weapons incident in 2017 exacerbates the internal struggle with the opposition, also as an excuse to overthrow Bashar. With dynamic and complex nature,Syria still has many uncertainties, leading to many challenges to peace.
