In the context of reforms and opening up and the success of the stage and the globalization of food,China's economy has become more connected with other countries and regions,and food exchanges have become more frequent.The increase in per capita income has enabled more and more residents to have the ability and opportunity to consume imported foods.Imported foods have also become an important part of China's food consumer market and are closely related to the daily lives of residents.However,imported food does not mean absolute safety.Since imported foods have entered China,there have been many accidents involving food safety.Not only has the residents' consumption enthusiasm been dealt with,it has also triggered a heated debate about the government's supervision over imported foods and has affected the credibility of the government.The regulatory system for imported foods in China has seen rapid development in the volume of imported food and the increasing demand from the public.There are many problems in import food safety regulations.For this situation,it is of far-reaching significance to study the issue of government supervision over imported food safety.This article focuses on integrating theory with practice,starting with related cases,and analyzing the "3·15 Muji" incident,the "smuggling of mad beef" incident,and the "recall of infant milk powder" incident,and obtaining enlightenment from the research direction of imported food supervision.The supervision of imported foods is a complicated process involving multiple government departments and spanning multiple links while maintaining vigilance over food risks at home and abroad.As long as one detail is not supervised,it may lead to a huge food disaster.Looking at China's food safety situation in recent years,there areindeed many problems with government supervision.For example,there is a cross-over of functions in the regulatory body;there is an imperfect legal system in the supervision basis;supervision means are too single;monitoring effectiveness is lack of supervision and protection,etc.,and the reasons for its formation are carefully analyzed.Through studying the regulatory concepts and more mature systems of developed countries' avant-garde,we explored corresponding countermeasures,such as: strengthening the role of food safety committees,adjusting the functions of regulatory agencies;advancing the relevant legislative work of weak regulatory links;enriching regulatory measures,flexible measures and toughening We must take equal measures;improve the supervision and evaluation mechanism and implement the monitoring results.
