The online consumer personal information referred to the article are the personal information that the online consumer provides to the operator during the network consumption process,as well as the geographical location information such as consumption records,consumption trajectory,and precise positioning generated during the network consumption process.The information generated by online consumers in the process of network consumption is transmitted on the network.The real-time geographic location can be accurately positioned and has a greater risk of information leakage than traditional entity consumption.online consumers often encounter illegal collection,use,and leakage of personal information,affecting the personal privacy of online consumers,threatening consumers' personal and property safety,and orderly health of the market economy.Development has had an adverse effect.However,the protection of personal information of online consumers in China is very limited and needs a higher degree of protection.This article is mainly composed of the following four parts.The first part defines the online consumers and their personal information,defines the concept and characteristics of online consumers,and believes that online consumers are in a disadvantaged position in consumption,and need to be protected by law.The scope of personal information of consumers on the Internet is clarified,and the particularity of online consumer personal information is explored,and the proper content of online consumers' personal information rights is discussed in depth.The second part is the analysis of the insufficiency and reasons of the protection of personal information of online consumers.Firstly,the status quo of online consumers' personal information protection is described.Secondly,the problems of online consumer personal information protection are described.Finally,the reasons for the insufficient protection of personal information of online consumers are analyzed.The content of the third part is the experience and enlightenment of consumers' personal information protection in extraterritorial networks.Listed the model of industry self-regulation and privacy protection certification adopted by the United States,the special agency supervision adopted by the European Union,the clear protection of the operator'sconfidentiality obligations,and Japan's adoption of specific legislation,the right to self-determination of personal information,and the establishment of an ex post relief system.Protection method.The fourth part mainly proposes how to perfect the personal information protection system of our country's online consumers.Improve the legislation for the protection of personal information of online consumers;Supervise and set up an information monitoring platform to supervise online data platforms,Protect personal information of online consumers through self-discipline in the industry and improving the rights protection channels of online consumers.
