A Research On Establishing Hong Kong Youth’s Values Under National Identity Horizon

General Secretary Xi Jinping in the Report of the Nineteenth National Congress emphasized on the adherence of “One Country Two Systems”,and the necessity of pushing forward the unification of our country and supporting Hong Kong to get integrated into the overall situation of the country’s development.The advancement of“One Country Two Systems”,the realization of complete unification of the country and the firm goal of materializing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation shall go with no one’s subjective will.But,Recently,have seen increasingly highlighted Hong Kong nativeness sense supported by extreme opposition who constantly challenge central government ’ s bottom line and the authority of Hong Kong SAR Government ’ s management,some people even put forward various kinds of separatism assertion and actions,constructing a severe challenge for “One Country Two Systems” theory and practice.Young people is the main body of Hong Kong,moreover they are the future of Hong Kong,the opposition’s alternative interpretation of “One Country Two Systems”has casted a huge impact in the society especially on young people’s values,identity and political participation.Based on this,the paper studies on the establishment of Hong Kong youth’s values under national identity horizon,analyzes the coherent connection between national identity and Hong Kong youth’s values therefore guide the value orientation of Hong Kong youth and build a multiple-dimension based national identity inclusive of politics,culture,and nation.The research is divided into three parts,the first part studies on the inherent connection between national identity and Hong Kong youth’s values from the angle of combing national identity theory with political culture;The second part analyzes Hong Kong’s social development and value transition from the perspective of Marx’s historical materialism to clarify the positive and negative sides as well as the underlining reasons in the course of value changes.The third part explains in order to help young people in Hong Kong build their national identity at the value level,achieving national identity to lead values,need to embracing Hong Kong culture into Chinese culture,cover Hong Kong’s nativeness sense in “community of national destiny” andbringing “Chinese Dream” with “Hong Kong Dream”.
